Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5/30/2026
At Morse Encoder, your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your data when you use our Morse code translation and learning tools.
Our Privacy Standards
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We believe in absolute privacy. We do not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information. You can use all features of Morse Encoder anonymously without creating an account.
2. Local Storage
To improve your experience, Morse Encoder saves certain settings and data directly to your device's browser (Local Storage). This includes:
- Your recent translation history
- Your preferred playback speed (WPM) and tone settings
- Your high scores and streaks in the practice games
- Theme and language preferences
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, anonymized analytics (which do not use cookies or track IP addresses) simply to understand general usage trends (such as page views or feature popularity). This data cannot be traced back to any individual user.
4. Chrome Extension
If you use the Morse Encoder Chrome Extension, we adhere to the same strict privacy principles. The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any user data.
The extension only uses the local storage API to track your daily translation quota directly on your device. This data is never sent to our servers. Furthermore, the extension requests Context Menu permissions strictly to allow you to right-click highlighted text and translate it; it does not read, log, or monitor your web browsing activity.
5. Third-Party Links
Our Guides and resources may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
